Albert Lea restaurant being sued by MDH

Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) – A business in Albert Lea is being sued by the Minnesota Department of Health for operating without a license. The Interchange was given notice in December after violating COVID-19 safety measures to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. The lawsuit seeks sanctions against the owner for continuing to operate without an active restaurant license.

MEANWHILE…

The Albert Lea eatery is also facing three new criminal charges in addition to six misdemeanor counts of violating an emergency safety order. Ms. Hanson was arraigned on all nine charges in a Thursday Zoom hearing in a Freeborn County District Court.
