Owner of Albert Lea’s Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro arrested in Iowa

(ABC 6 News) – The owner of Albert Lea’s The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro was arrested after she was found hiding out in Clear Lake, Iowa on outstanding warrants. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s office along with the Albert Lea Police Department says Melissa Hanson was taken into custody at an Airbnb Thursday afternoon. She posted bail and has been released, as reported by ABC 6 News. A warrant was issued for Hanson’s arrest last month for violating COVID emergency safety measures by opening her bar during a statewide shutdown. Her trial is tentatively scheduled to begin July 20.
