Albert Lea Area Schools are pausing in-person learning at the high school for one week after new COVID-19 cases were reported. The school district announced that 14 new positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed within the district, twelve from Albert Lea High School, and two from Southwest Middle School. The school district reported that most of the positive cases had no contact with students, and several of the cases are related to an event that was not associated with the school district, according to the announcement.
