Forest City man pleaded guilty to drug charges stemming from routine traffic stop

A Forest City man pleaded guilty to drug charges stemming from a routine traffic stop. Dustin Johnson was charged with third offense drug possession, after the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office found pot in his car when they pulled him over on March 25, 2021. Johnson was sentenced to serve 10 days in the Winnebago County Jail. A judge also ordered him to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow through with all treatment recommendations, and suspended all fines in the case.
