A man walking his dog along 625th Ave., in Emmons was mysteriously shot Tuesday night. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man who had gone into the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with a gunshot wound, and the victim was reportedly petting his dog when he all of a sudden felt pain. He was possibly struck by a stray bullet, but the case remains under investigation, police said.
