Albert Lea police catch burglar driving backwards

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Albert Lea police quickly apprehended a theft suspect, when they spotted him driving backwards Wednesday night after fleeing the scene. Police responded to reports of someone robbing a garage on Ulstad Ave., and threatening the victim with a tire iron. Deputies saw a man driving in reverse on Johnson St. and attempted to make a traffic stop, but he sped off prompting a police pursuit that ended on Charlotte Ave. with his arrest. Michael Hubers, of Albert Lea, is facing multiple felony charges.
