ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man convicted in connection to a 2020 domestic violence case has been sentenced. Ben Vidal Moreno is accused of holding an ax to his then girlfriend’s head last year at an Albert Lea motel and threatening to kill her. Investigators also say Moreno cut her wrists with a knife, leaving a wound that needed stitches. A judge ordered the 31 year old to three years of supervised probation.
