An Austin man arrested for assaulting his roomate made his first appearance Monday in Mower County District Court. Andrew Samoei, [sa my a] 44, is accused of stabbing the man in the face at a residence on First Street Southeast, because he got mad when he asked him to pay rent. The 44 year old was being held at the Mower County Jail. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 4.
