Opening statements expected to get underway for Interchange owner accused of violating COVID safety requirements

(ABC 6 News) – Opening statements are expected to get underway Wednesday morning in a case involving the owner of The Interchange in Albert Lea. Lisa Hanson faces nine criminal misdemeanor counts for violating a public safety requirement to close her restaurant in an effort to stop the spread of COVID19 during the height of the pandemic. Jury selection wrapped up Tuesday. Hanson is expected to represent herself in the trial.
