Albert Lea businesswoman jailed for violating COVID safety rules asking to be released

The Albert Lea businesswoman jailed for violating Governor Walz’s COVID safety rules is asking a federal judge to set her free. The owner of The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro, who was found guilty and sentenced earlier this month to 90 days in jail, asked the federal court to order her release from the Freeborn County Jail and to recommend both the judge in her case and the Albert Lea city attorney be disbarred.
