Authorities are following all leads following a weekend shooting in neighboring Blue Earth County that seriously injured one person. Officers responded to the 100 block of 4th Avenue Southeast Sunday morning and reported a 50-year-old man was suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. Police are questioning witnesses who were there when the incident occurred and say the Mapleton Police Department, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is continuing to investigate.
