The number one holiday scam, according to the Better Business Bureau’s Scam Tracker Risk Report, is the misleading advertisement you see while scrolling through your social media. If you see an offer for a luxury item or electronics that seems too good to be true, officials say it usually is.

Tis the season…for porch pirates. Authorities say package thefts typically increase during this time of year so if you’re not going to be home for a delivery it’d be smart to have a contingency plan for pick up before thieves grab it from your doorstep.
