Austin man and his Iowa father now face more serious criminal charges in deadly U.S. Capitol insurrection

A Minnesota man and his Iowa father now face more serious criminal charges for their alleged participation in the deadly Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection. Federal prosecutors recently filed superseding information charging Daniel Johnson, of Austin, Minnesota, and his father, Daryl Johnson with obstructing a United States Capitol Police officer, according to court documents. This violation is a felony. The daring duo had been charged in June with four lesser offenses for their role in the attempted coup in which several people were killed, incluidng police officers.
