The name of the victim killed in a wrong way crash on Highway 169 in Mankato Tuesday has been released.
Minnesota State Patrol says, Michelle Marie Beier, 59, of Lake Crystal, was northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway when she crashed head-on at Riverfront Drive with a southbound semi. The semi-driver wasn’t injured, according to the patrol. It’s unknown whether alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation. The southbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours following the crash.
