In neighboring Ellendale, just north of Albert Lea, plans for new affordable housing in the town of about 800 people is getting support. The Ellendale City Council hosted an informational open house last week at the Ellendale Community Center to give an update on the proposed low income apartment building that could be open for tenants by May 2023.
