The principal at Halverson Elementary in Albert Lea has been focused on meeting students needs during the pandemic. The past couple of years Tonya Franks has been building on a multi-tiered system of support that looks at academic data and uses interventions to help with learning loss. Franks says the support system also addresses students’ social and emotional needs by developing a specific curriculum.
