Albert Lea man sentenced in 2021 fake bomb threat case

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – The man who called in a fake bomb threat to a Freeborn County school last year has accepted a plea deal in the 2021 case. Anthony Jerome Woodraska pleaded guilty and was sentenced recently to one year and 11 months behind bars, with credit for 181 days already served. Albert Lea police say Woodraska, who was wanted on fraudulent theft charges, was found at a home on 3rd Avenue S where he held police at bay, and then called in the phony bomb threat to Lakeview School to try and divert the police so he could escape.
