Man leads Rochester police on brief foot chase before running out of breath

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man tied to a gun investigation led police on a brief foot chase Tuesday morning that ended with him out of breath. Police said they made a traffic stop in connection to a weapons case, and as officers searched the vehicle the driver fled on foot behind the Mayo Civic Center. Police quickly located the suspect hiding on the east side of the building, and he was taken to the hospital after complaining he couldn’t breathe from all the running. Authorities say the man has been linked to a gun that was found Monday in neighboring Rochester, according to a press release.
