Concerned citizen credited with leading police to multi-county burglary suspect

A concerned citizen is being credited with leading police to a burglary suspect Thursday. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report Thursday from a caller saying they saw a man matching the description and driving a stolen UTV used in a breakin at a rural Thompson, Iowa residence the day before. Winnebago County Sheriff‘s Office deputies spotted the driver who sped off leading police on a several miles long chase before getting stuck and then fleeing on foot. Eric William Jensen was quickly apprehended and taken into custody. The 40 year old is wanted for several offenses and has warrants in multiple counties, including Winnebago, and Mower. Further criminal charges are pending.
