Man accused of threatening wife with axe accepted plea deal in 2019 case

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A man accused of threatening his wife with an axe has accepted a plea deal in the 2019 case. Soe Naing, 47 of Clarks Grove, pleaded guilty Tuesday in connection to the incident in which police said he was in a heated argument with his wife when he grabbed an axe, held it over his head, and threatened to kill her. He was charged with second-degree assault and threats of violence, court documents state. His sentencing is scheduled for September 21.
