Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) – An Austin woman is facing a murder charge in connection with a fatal drug overdose. 43-year-old Tashica Thomas was arraigned Thursday in Mower County Court related to the death of a 22-year-old Austin man at his mother’s home. The criminal complaint indicates Austin Police identified Thomas as the suspect when they examined the victim’s phone and found messages from him to Thomas discussing the purchase of drugs. Thomas remains jailed on $250,000 bail. She is due back in court on September 15.
