One woman is dead after a residential fire in Waseca Wednesday [Sept. 21]. The Waseca Fire Department released a statement Thursday [Sept. 22] about a structure fire in the 500 block of Ninth Avenue NW in Waseca but did not immediately release the name of the victim yesterday. An obituary for Debra Mulcahy was shared Thursday afternoon by Dennis Funeral Homes, and noted she had died at her home Wednesday evening.
According to the press release, the cause of the fire and the resulting death are being investigated.
