Albert Lea man arrested for 2020 burglary accepted plea deal

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – The Albert Lea man arrested after DNA evidence linked him to a two year old burglary has accepted a plea deal. Shannon Troy Lee, 52 of Albert Lea, has pleaded guilty in connection to the incident in which the homeowner reported several items, including a TV, art work, an antique typewriter, and John Deere collectibles, were stolen from the ransacked home off Highway 13 on July 15, 2020. A Newport cigarette butt and empty water bottles found at the house helped lead police to Lee. His sentencing is set for October 27.
