Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) – Five people, including two young children, were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Austin Saturday [oct. 29]. The State Patrol says the crash occurred when an SUV and a minivan, carrying seven people, collided on Highway 218 just south of Austin. The driver of the minivan, 44-year-old Jessica Gerereo, and three of her passengers were taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Austin, including a 6 and 7-year-old, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The 79 year ol driver of the SUV was not injured, but his 75-year-old wife was also taken to the Mayo Clinic with non-life-threatening injuries.
