Various winter weather alerts are in affect until later Friday for parts of the region, including in Albert Lea, Austin, Winnebago, Worth, and Franklin counties, as well as Faribault; Freeborn; and Martin. Several inches of snow are forecast north of US14 in Southern Minnesota, and in some areas of North Iowa closer to US18. Temperatures will be near to below freezing throughout the region
