Mason City teen facing charges in two counties following two-day crime spree

MASON CITY, Iowa – A Mason City teen is now facing charges in two counties following an apparent two-day crime spree. Jesup Ward, 18, was arrested on Jan. 2 at 105 S. Broadway St. in Manly when a neighbor saw two people burglarizing a house and identified one as Ward. And he was also linked to an armed robbery in connection to an incident at Casey’s on N. Federal Ave. on Jan. 3. Ward was taken into custody Jan. 4 in Fort Dodge and admitted to the burglary, court documents state.
