ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Trial for an Albert Lea man jailed for shooting and kidnapping incidents is set to begin on January 19, 2021, in Mower County District Court. Omar Rodriguez, 26, is accused of holding a man prisoner after he responded to a Facebook post from a woman on April 6, and then posting a video online of the victim being beaten. And in May, Rodriguez shot a man whose car had stalled on Gene Street. He is facing more than a half dozen charges.
