Another peak energy alert has been issued for Albert Lea residents

KIMT-TV NEWS 3 – Another peak energy alert has been issued for Albert Lea residents. Freeborn-Mower Electric Cooperative in Albert Lea is asking members to reduce use of electricity starting Tuesday morning. The co-ops say they are concerned about expected high demand on the regional power grid. A peak alert was also issued Monday evening due to high demand. Members are urged to conserve electricity during this peak alert period by setting their heating systems to at least 68o, running the dishwasher or doing laundry later in the evening, and using a microwave instead of the oven to cook.
