Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed Drivers Licenses for All bill into law

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed the Drivers Licenses for All bill into law. The legislation will allow undocumented immigrants to obtain a legal drivers license, a move 20 years in the making that supporters say will create more employment opportunities for an estimated 80,000 undocumented Minnesotans, improve road safety and ease fears of deportation during routine interactions with law enforcement and government agencies. The Drivers Licenses for All goes into effect on Oct. 1.
