Winnebago County [sw/albert lea] – Forest City Firefighters quickly contained a blaze at a residence on W. M Street
in 20-degree temperatures with 4-degree wind chills over the weekend. Three fire trucks and one ambulance were on the scene Saturday to help fight the fire inside and outside the home. Forest City Police and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department Deputies also assisted. There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the blaze is undetermined, and fire officials said an investigation is underway.
