NORTHWOOD, Iowa – An Albert Lea teen accused of leading Worth County police on a high-speed chase last year
is pleading not guilty to drug charges. Samuel Jeffery Bingham was initially charged with a driving misdemeanor following the police pursuit that ended when the 18 year old crashed and then exited his overturned vehicle and tried to flee on foot. But after marijuana was found in Bingham’s vehicle, he was arrested again on felony charges last month and is now set to begin trial on May 10.
