UPDATE – Authorities are still working to determine the cause of a collision that claimed the life of an elderly Northfield man whose car went crashing into the Allina Health Clinic in Northfield on Thursday. Northfield Police Chief Mark Elliott said, an 18-year-old driver was reportedly speeding before colliding with an SUV driven by Bryce Skaar, 85, near the intersection of Jefferson Parkway and the Highway 3 service road, causing both vehicles to skid off the roadway and overturn, with Skarr’s car striking the clinic building. An investigation remains active.
