FOREST CITY, Iowa – A Winnebago County man accused of a violent home invasion has accepted a plea deal in the 2022 case. Victor Rivera Jr., 31 of Forest City, is accused of pepper spraying a woman after she opnened the door at her home in Leland, and then pushing his way in before he allegedly shoved the victim into a bedroom and started choking her and putting a bandana over her face. No sentencing date has been set for Rivera.
