Austin man accused in armed robbery and police standoff sentenced

AUSTIN, Minn. – An Austin man accused in an armed robbery and police standoff has learned his fate. The Austin Police Department says Terrance Gustav Book stole a vehicle on December 15, 2022, but he wasn’t arrested until March 7 when police got a tip and the 29 year old was found hiding in an attic at a home on 2nd Street SW. Book has now been sentenced to five years in prison. He is still facing weapons charges in Freeborn County.
