ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Blazing Star Landing could soon be home to affordable housing. The Albert Lea city council had already approved a proposal to build housing for low-income families and seniors, and on Monday members approved further development of the empty space, with a foucus on vacating easements given to the old meat packing plant for the city to continue the recent progress it’s made on the land.
