ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Fun on the water turned fatal for a 66-year-old Albert Lea man who died after drowning on Fountain Lake Thursday morning. The sheriff’s office said after an hour long search the deceased, identified as Matthew Jay Anderson, was recovered near the dock at the Edgewater boat landing where the water is about 8.5 feet deep. Officials said they had to use side imaging technology to locate the body.
