Albert Leans welcomed home Waseca Officer Arik Matson in a drive-thru celebration Saturday afternoon along Edgewater Drive in Edgewater Park. People were lined up to show their support as police officers and other first responders led Matson through the park. Matson was shot in the head in the line of duty in January, and had been hospitalized for months.
MEANWHILE…
Tyler Janovsky has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree attempted murder in Matson’s shooting. He’ll be sentenced next month.
