Albert Lea resident identified as victim in fatal crash

EMERSON, Neb. — One of two truck drivers killed Tuesday in separate crashes on Nebraska Highway 35 was identified as an Alber Lea resident. According to the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, Steve Ellison, 55, of Albert Lea lost control of his semi tractor-trailer and ran off the highway near Emerson before slamming into a creek bank. The second accident, just three miles from the first one, claimed the life of Pablo Reyes, 43, of Dakota City. Both crashes remain under investigation.
