ALBERT Lea, Minn. (KEYC) – The Albert Lea Fire Rescue was on thin ice as they brought a deer to safety that got stranded on Myre [my ree] Big Island Lake over the weekend. Officials say they arrived to find the deer stuck near New York Point. The ice was too thin to drive on, but officials were able to rescue the deer on foot. The buck was not injured, according to a news release from the Albert Lea Fire department.
