Austin, MN (KROC AM News) – An Austin man charged with killing his stepson pleaded not guilty Monday morning. Murder and attempted murder charges have been filed against 27-year-old Jaime Vaca. He is accused of stabbing and critically wounding his wife and killing her 15-year-old son who intervened to save his mom during a domestic fight in the family’s home on Dec 15th. The boy later died. His mom underwent life-saving surgery. Vaca remains in the Mower County jail. No trial date has yet been set.
